There appears to be some confusion about children receiving more than 3 hours of habilitation training on school days.
Currently (effective 11/1/08), if a child is receiving more than 3 hours of habilitation services on school days, this can continue until the CNR. In the body of the CNR, it must be justified that the child needs more than 3 hours of habilitation services on school days.  It must be stated in the body of the treatment plan that this will occur.  Otherwise, VO is assuming you are following the 3 hour habilitation rule on school days. If you have already submitted your CNR to VO and it's been approved without
justifying that consumer plans to use more than 3 hab hours on school days, you must resubmit a revision to VO.  VO will determine if the plan justifies the need for more than 3 hours of hab services on school days. You need to include a schedule in your treatment plan to reflect how you plan to use habilitation hours in future CNRs.  This will clarify how the hours plan to be used.
